Buy Basic or Pro on this page, then attach the subscription in AskAgento → Settings → Subscription under “Connect a purchase made on askagento.com” with the claim code shown after checkout. For a live shop, yes: AskAgento syncs your catalogue from our servers, so the shop and its product images must be reachable on the internet, not behind a login wall or VPN-only access. For testing, a local shop (localhost, .local or .test names, or a private address) can be installed with up to 100 products: the plugin uploads the product images with the catalogue, and product changes are re-indexed when you reinstall.

No. Heavy work such as catalogue indexing, semantic search, chat, and auto-labelling runs on AskAgento’s hosted infrastructure, not inside your WordPress request cycle.

The plugin exports your product catalogue on a schedule (daily or monthly by plan) via a background sync. It does not re-index or call an LLM on every product or checkout page.

We don’t store AI vectors in wp_postmeta or blow up wp_options. Local tables are limited to fast product filters (precomputed cache), separate from the cloud catalogue brain. AskAgento is compatible with WooCommerce HPOS.

A voice search records up to 10 seconds of audio, which has to be uploaded, transcribed and then run as an AI search. Speech processing costs far more than a text or image query, so 1 voice search = 100 AI searches from your monthly allowance or search pack.

Yes, on every plan including Free. Buy add-on packs — a 30,000-search pack for $3 or a hosted LLM pack for $3 (~150 products labelled or ~600 chatbot messages) — through Stripe checkout on this page. The plugin never takes payment: after paying, credit the pack to your shop in AskAgento → Settings → Subscription with the claim code shown after checkout. Stack packs as needed.

Yes, free on every plan, with no add-on purchase required. In WordPress go to AskAgento → Settings → BYOK Setup and add your key. Chatbot, labelling, and filters can run on your provider instead of (or in addition to) included hosted allowances. You pay your provider directly; AskAgento does not mark up those tokens.

We process WooCommerce product catalogue data (titles, descriptions, images, and related metadata) to power search, labelling, and chat, plus what shoppers type into AI search and the chatbot, which also feeds your Lost demand report. We do not need your shoppers’ personal order histories for core features.

In wp-admin under AskAgento → Usage → Lost demand, you see what shoppers searched for without a good match (for example “rose gold hoops”, 37 times) and the topics they keep asking the chatbot about (for example ring sizing), for the last 7 or 30 days. Use it to decide what to stock and which product pages to fix. Email addresses, links and long numbers are removed before anything is stored, summaries are deleted after 32 days, and only searches and topics that came up at least twice are shown.
